ok i have a question about insurance, because i am planning to get a system on the summer. if it ever got stolen, will insurance pay for it if u dont inform them that i have it, but show them proof?

second question, if i ever got into an accident were my bumper was damaged, how does insurance pay me, do they give me a check? of do they pay the store, and can i go to any store or they tell me were to go? i am asking this because what if i wanna get an after market bumper instead for the same price?

concerning the bumper thing.. you inform the insurence where you planning on gettin git fixed.. and you tell the shop what you want to do (i.e. buy a new bumper)

the insurence will send and appraiser if that shop is not under them.. and the shop will tell the aprraiser how much it'll cost for them to fix it

when i smashed my front.. my dealership asked if i wanted to get my OEM or stock headlights.. i told them i wanted my projectors so the added in the cost of the projectors instead of the oem ones...any they modified my harness and harwired everything with connectors so i can unplug them easily..

This is a hard call. Some insurace companies will allow up to a certian amount without being notified, but others wont, so I guess before you get the insurance I would check this out first with some of the companies, and I assume you know how much your gear is going to be worth so you will know.

As for the bumper you would just have to let your shop know what you want to do and the insurance company will issue a check for the cost of a new OEM bumper and then you and the shop can work out the rest. Some shops wont do this so be careful who you go to.

some insurance companys are tight and force u to bring your car to their designated shop and those shop will do an estimate and fix whatever they think it is necessary (no more and no less)
but some insurance company is easy and let u choose whatever shop u want, then all u do is ask the shop who fixed your car to send the bills to insurance company. (this type is good because u dont necessary have to go oem parts and u can buy aftermarkt parts and snap it on your car)

I think the rule is that you can modd your car up to $1500 before you have to tell your insurance company.
