It kind of reminds me of a stretched Grand Am....I think i like the current body style better.

I think it is a stretched GrandAm. I think I heard somewhere, that the new GrandAm is gonna be powered by the EcoTec engine found in the Cavalier and Sunfire. Why GM would do this, I got no clue, but if that's the case, they are probably planning on the new Grand Prix to replace the 6-cyl GrandAm.

Yeah, the s/c v6 is probably nice, but I still don't like the styling. Its clean for a Pontiac, but its still over-styled. If they got rid of the bumps on the tail lights and those huge fog-light holes in the front bumper, it might look ok.

My friend has a 97 GTP with mods...That car is fast....and much nicer than the 2004. I heard that they arent going to be making the Grand Prix in 2 doors anymore, they are only making sedans.....That stinks.

Yeah, GM doesn't make bad engines.. EcoTec does offer a lot of promise. My brother's winter box is a base 2.2L Cavalier, and on the highway, it offers just as good gasmile as my Civic. It lops along the highways at a much lower RPM, and can still traffic at ease at the 5th gear without needing to downshift. Torque helps!
This updated GrandPrix is just to get by for now. GM's coming out with a new chassis developed by Saab very soon, that will be the underpinnings for many of their models.
What you want to watch for is the next generation Grand Am GT... supposively a supercharged 3.4L V6, good for 240HP--for about the price barely higher than current GT. Talk about performance value!
