Painting Calpiers?
Hey everyone, I have been thinking of painting my brake calipers red, like many of you have done. I was just curious to know if I have to disconect the brake line from the caliper, I am pretty sure I have to, and not get air in it?

there are many different ways.
easiest way is taking out out the entire caliper and clean them off and paint them.
or u can just leave them on and use a brush and slowly paint them
or unscrew 2 bolts and leave the brake line connect and spray paint them, but remember dont put too much stress on the line.

I jus taped everything off and wire brushed the caliper and then painted em, theve been done since november and still havent had to redo them or anything. Jus make sure the caliper is clean.

All I did was taked the caliper off the rotor, & left the brake line attached. Then covered the rotor with a Wal-Mart bag. Cleaned caliper with parts cleaner and a brush. Then sprayed with black hi-temp engine block paint. I put three coats on it and let it dry. Just be careful not to get overspray on the car paint.
