two questions

one. I have 17x7.5 in rims running 215/45/17 tires, and I had to rase my car up so I don't rub when I hit a bump. I want to go to 205/45/17 to fix that but will a 205 fit on a 7.5 in wide rim?

two: I have a rear drum to disc conversion kit from www.ssbrakes.com They have a pretty good rep with all the real old cars. has anyone ever dealt with them before? has anyone done the conversion? I'm the first that I know of.

I can help you on #1...

Most manufacturers list their 205/45-17's as being able to fit a rim width range from 6.5" to 7.5" so you should be okay on the width.

Using that size should give you an extra 0.4" inch clearance toward the top of the tire & 0.2" down at the sidewall

Let me put in a good word for either Yokohama AVS ES100's or Parada Spec 2's for the brand

Instead of going with 205/45's I'd get 215/40's. They are thinner so you have less, if any, rubbing at all. I have 215/40/17's and no rubbing.
