I have a set of H&R Sport springs with 18X7 rims (+42 offset) and 215/35-18 tires. The drop was about 1-1/2"-1-5/8" after the springs settled and I do not have any rubbing. For 17" wheels I would probably use a 215/45-17 tire and there should not be any problem either.

Thank you. I have Koni yellows and a Eibach camber kit in the rear only. Rides very smooth, I think it's perfect.

For that height it looks like a 215-45-17 wouldn't rub. It's common that size will rub (with the tire being a 215 even if it's on a 16 inch rim) so as long as it's not low enough. Wish I had a better view of your car from the side.

I have 215/40/17 lowered 1.5 and it doesn't rub at all. The wider tire gives my car better handling.
