Even with 600 miles the engine might need a little more breaking in. When I got my new car even at 600 miles it felt kinda sluggish compared to now, I have 1700 on it now. So maybe more miles will put more HP. Or maybe they got the defective Evo.

Also... thats' 180Hp to 4 Wheels... not 2... does that make a difference?
I mean... if it's transfering to all 4 wheels, then wouldn't the HP be, for lets say a 2WD Evo something like 220 - 230HP???

Dyno plots will be up tomorrow.

Guys please look more into things before we make fun of the Evo. A lot of people will be getting different dyno numbers because they all have different dynos. The guy that got 180whp on the evo also got 160whp on a wrx so tell me if that makes much sense. A 180WHP 3200lb car will not run a 13.8@101 with R&T's drivers. People who already bought them said they are as fast as their modded wrxs. And this is with the Evo bone stock.

Even if it is 180, HP at the wheels, can't it still do a sub 6 second 0-60 time, cause I remeber reading something along that line. Granted I'd still take a WRX Sti anyday. All that really matters when it comes to a car, is how well it really peforms, not how much HP it has, a car that has 1000 HP, but no way of keeping it on the road will probably perform as well as one with half as much. ANYWAY, From what i've read about the EVO, is that it really lags in the low rpms, and is really powerfull in the high rpms, this makes sense because of the turbo. Lastly the 0-60 time I read was achieved by a clutch drop @ 6000 RPMS, pretty hard on the clutch i'd think.

I would take an EVO over the STI only because it looks better and I still don't believe those hp numbers. I would take the VII over the VIII. I hate the VIII's back lights and front bumper. The STI tends to understeer more I've heard but that was compared to the VII and that really doesn't matter.

The EVO VIII looks like a pontiac bastardization WITH stock altezza rice lights AND a gay double decker wing.

its not all about the drag...... the Evos r better road cars than the STI's...... STI's tend to understeer on the road..... but better in rally..... i wouldn't mind having either......
