Where Oh Where Should I Put my Changer?
Hey guys. I've got a 6-disc Eclipse changer in the mail. Where have you guys mounted yours? The trunk is a no-go, and I really don't want to give up my glove box. Has anyone managed to get a changer into the center console and the place to load the magazine right over that little storage compartment closest to the drivers seat near the left back of the console?
45 minutes of that install involved running a changer plug through the door grommet.
an hour and a half of that install involved removing metal from teh door with a dremel, and bending the rest in place.
15 minutes of that install involved heating up the door panel to almost its melting temperature to allow teh changer door to fully slide open.
id put it under the seat unless you have grey's ***** over there
if you do, id be glad to do a step by step of what i did, but dont ask me to post that unless yrou serious, cause you know what happens when i make actual instructional posts

mount it on the back of one of the back seats. All you have to do is get a piece of ply wood, or something that is kind of flexible, but won't break, and slide it under the frame of one of the seats, between the metal bars and the yellow foam. Zip the carpet back up and get a carpeted piece of wood, one that is just big enough to mount the changer on, and after screwing that piece of wood to the one under the frame with some 1 inch screws, you can just mount the cd changer on that. I did that with both of my amplifiers, and it both works and looks great.
