Somewhat new to ICE... need help troubleshooting system

I have two Pioneer Premier 10 inch DVC subs which have a RMS rating of 400 watts and a max of 800 watts each. I have a Rockford Fosgate Power 750s amp on the subs and it just doesnt seem like it is hitting as hard as it should. I've tried wiring the voice coils on each sub in series and then wiring the subs parallel and hooking them up bridged @ 4 ohms. and i've tried just standard parallel and pushing one sub per channel at 2ohms. The box i am using provides .6 cubic feet of air space for each sub as per factory specs. I am also running a Power 750x on my highs. If anyone could give me some insight on what i should do, i'd appreciate it.
Thanks

i don't have a lot of experience either, but go check out jl's site or rf's site. both of them have sub wiring faq's and interactive demos and stuff, that's where i'd start...

jl's tutorials

RF's tech support site (choose the wiring wizard option)

not the perfect answer, but a good place to start... good luck.

Yeah... i hooked them up in a series / parallel combo to produce a 4 ohm load... it just doesn't hit as hard as i thought it would. Wonder if the subs or the amp are to blame?

something is definately not right because i had 2 10" single voice coil subs with a phoenix gold 25x2 in my last civic and it hit hard as hell. i only had a kenwood 30x4 running my components and they sounded great also. did you build the box or is it pre-made? check all the simple things like +/- wiring, gains or crossover points on the amp...etc. are both subs moving the same distance when the bass hits? find whiterabbit or ludlamtheory...they know their sh*t. if all else fails, take it to a local shop.
