Wiring Digram & Question

I have spent the past few days wiring neons onto a switch in my civic. Before I started wiring myself, I had a couple neons installed under the dash by a customs shop, who installed a switch with it. When I went to install the 4 new neon rods, both myself and my girlfriends dad (who does lots of wiring in his MG) could not figure out why the lights weren't working, and how they wired everything. They wired it weird, not the way I would of expected, but we figured it out in the end. Anyway, I included a wiring diagram of how the shop wired the switch (no, it wasn't me who decided to wire it that way), and how I wired the other 4 neons to that switch (I know there could have been easier ways to do stuff, but it was my first time, alright?). Everything works fine (I think), except for sometimes when I turn on the lights, the "Mini Accent Rod #1 of 2" (thats the name of it in the diagram) does not totally light up. The rod lights up for 3/4 the length of the rod, then stops. When I turn off the switch, and back on, it works normally. Every time I turn on the swithc I have to check that rod to make sure it lights up al the way. If it doesn't, I turn it off and on repeatedly until it lights up properly. So could you guys take a look at my diagram, and see if there are any mistakes, or anything I can do to prevent this from happening. Also, all the lights work (except for that one sometimes), but I just want to make sure they are as bright as they can be, so check to make sure there aren't any mistakes or too many neons going to the one power that could effect the intensity of the light emitted from the rod. Thanks.

p.s. You need to maximize the window of the attachment to be able to read the labellings.

it look sfine, cept your wire colors are backwards... usually red is used for positive and black for negative. You said your girlfriend's dad helped you out on this, and he wired stuff in an MG? mg's are british cars, and older british cars have positive grounds as opposed to negative grounds (damn backwards country).

Yeah he helped me with it. We were going to wire it normally (black to ground, red to the switch), but the customs shop did everything weird, and it took us a while to figure out what they did, and didn't really pay attention which colour of the wire we had was on the + or -. It didn't matter.

well current actually follows opposite of what we think (- to +), it just so happens that the calculations are the same regardless.

so don't blame the brits here ludlam, blame ben franklin on this one (he got it wrong, we never changed).

Ive had that problem with the mini accent tubes. Does it happen when engin is running or only when it is off? I Myexperience is that they sometimes need a minute to warm up even if they are getting proper power. If you wipe your hand along it it might help it light up. That may sound weird but it works. If that dosnt work Id say check the connections and gauges of your main positive and ground connections or maby even your battery.
