Why hate Progress Sway bars???
I have been to two mechanics and I CAN NOT install the front 27MM sway bar progress offers...
I noticed Grey's DIY, but his is on an LX... I have an EX and the cat is much farther down than his is...
I don't understand?!?! The cat is in the way, even with severe lateral adjustments... am I the only one having this problem? or are their any members out there who have a 2001+ EX *2dr* have tried but failed to install the progress FRONT sway bar...
I called them and they told me it's a direct replacement... NO WAY!! Unless I remove the CAT or get a straight pipe, the progress is NOT a replacement...
Someone please help me!! Anyone!?!?!?
THANKS!!!

hummm... do you have any pictures... i hope that progress didn't do the same mistake that hp racing did on their header by only testing it on a automatic ex. this leads me to believe that this might have happened. but don't we have a stock front sway bar on ex's? have you tried unbolting the catback from the header and tried to replace it?

You did unbolt the cat from the rest of the exhaust system to slip the sway bar into place, right? Is this what you're having difficulty with?
erm...i have a 2001 ex manual... works for me... only problem i had was getting grey's endlinks squared out which was a b*tch. Now they work fine. take pics...i can help you if you got pics... but basically, unbolt the cat, and it should go in... i didn't unbolt my cat, i wedged the bar in on top of the cat (took like 30 minutes of wiggling and sqeezing, i don't recommend you doing that...i just didn't have the tools to remove the bolts on my cat)

MAKE SURE YOU CALL YOUR DEALER TO VERIFY IT IS THE CORRECT P/N! Tornactive still had the OLD bars until they sorted it out. Progress are d!cks, they will not exchange the old bar for the new one. MAKE SURE you know what you are getting before you buy. I have to buy a new one now because my old new progress bar rattles with my new exhaust (****in progress - they don't even return my angry emails either - **** smokers).
^ call them and harass them over and over again... everytime i called i got REALLY friendly service...if you have the wrong part #, they said they would exchange it. keep trying man
