MTX 18000D amp question.

I am getting one of these amps and was wondering if my electrical system will be fine? I have a red top optima battery if that helps? Will I need to upgrade anything to install this amp? Thanks guys!

Yer gonna need to tell us more. What else do you have installed.
Any other amps? What kinda gauge wire you have running to any
current amps you have? Will you be running a new wire for the amp
or be using the pre-existing?

Sorry about that.
Not sure what speaker I will be running but most likely either 1 or 2 mtx 8000 thunders. I plan on running 1/0 wire with a 150 amp breaker.

Your gonna smoke those 8000's unless they are 15's. I used to work for MTX......I would upgrade you battery at a minimum and run at least the 9500 series woofers..if not then run at least 8000 woofers.

because those subs are rated at like 400 rms each and your going to be putting like 800 watts to each. I have taken many calls on people with that same setup and blown subs.
