Around LA no.. there's only 2 real major schools.. mobiledynamics and installer institute.. Mobile dynamics having the longer more in depth and oddly less expensive course. They have a campus in AZ... it's about $3000US for the full 7 week course...
I'll be attending Mobile Dynamics Toronto campus in April it's $4600CAD..

If you want to open your business like I do you seriously can't be successful unless you have experience in the industry... Typically Installer starting pay is $7-15/hour depending on the company and region...
In small towns with no major cities don't expect much.. in a big city with alot of money like LA.. expect $10-12 to start...

ya i know.. i'm only 18 so i have alot of time to learn. i dont plan on opening anything anytime soon but hopefully i'll have my own business of some sort within 10 years.. if it is car audio i'll probably start out as a salesman or installer to know the insides of the job and use it to start my own shop.
oh so you want to open your own shop too? i think you'd do good cause you actually know your s**t unlike most people here...
