People with Alarms/Remote Starts

This question is for the people with alarms, or alarm/remote start combo's. When you had yours installed, where did the installer put little red light. In the next couple of weeks, I plan on buying a alarm remote start, and would like some ideas of where to have the light put. I've thought about it, and I dont know where it would look good, and be visible. I have an aftermarket deck, and thought in the upper right corner of my deck, but give me some other ideas. Thanks a lot.

I have one mounted right behind the steering wheel, you have to be careful cuz the tabs that hold the two pieces together behind the steering wheel break easily. Or you can buy a Varad hyper bright led scanner and mount it on your windshield behind your rearview mirror. On mine you can see it a mile across the whole parking lot.

What light is this?
An LED Scanner?
If so, why not just go for a Varad Scanner?
I have one, might seem ricey in a way, but I'm still representing crazy rich.
What Light????

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesnt adding a flashing light in your car scream "hey, look at me" more than "go away" ?

When I finally get my alarm installed, there wont be any lights, and the only thing warning people will be the proximity sensor chirps....but hey, do what you want And as far as the light, a cool place would be in the roof lights.....the reflector would light the whole dashboard/front seat area, seeing as that seems like what you want to do......

Well the stock EX unit has a little red light. Anyway, the system uses a red light to let you know whats goin on, and set modes and s**t.

i have a code alarm 4200. i had the guys at the local shop install it. its cool because i now have remote trunk release, dual impact sensors, my windows and sunroof automatically close when i arm the system, and i have the option to upgrade later to another system ( like i can add remote start later if i wanted ). they did it for $150 for me.

I got the Viper 550 ESP with remote start. I got a bright blue LED light for my alarm and put it behind the stearing wheel in the gauge Bezel. It blinks a bright blue in my car and looks pretty cool. I even got my StreetGlow under car kit hooked to the remote for my alarm so that I didn't have to have a switched put into my car so I can remote start my car and turn my lights on and off at will. No switches means no holes in the dash

Sorry let me clarify. I dont have a hole for a switch for my street glow. I have a very and when I say very it is ver small hole behind my stearing wheel for my blue LED. When the LED is off you don't even see the light or the hole but when it is on you can see it bright as day.

My friend actually put them in the head and tail lights of his '94 T-bird. They scan back and forth. Best idea ever.

I got a Clifford and it has remote windows, remote start, and everything elce you could ever want. Its easily upgradeable as well. Make sure you get the right system for you. I got there top of the line Avantguard system. Its a bit expensive though. The only reason I got the expensive one is because I had my "98 civic stolen about a month after my cheep alarm decided to poop out on me. You might be able to find a Clifford for a good price on ebay. Thats where I got mine. About the LED, I put it next to the cigaret lighter.
