How to remove gear indicator on automatic
I'm changing my dash light color and I want to change the color of the gear indicator next to the shift ****.
Is there clips holding it down or what? Do you just pry it up? Please let me know.

Rep Power: 0 yeah you can just pry it up...it has 2 clips on the side.....the piece that lights up is just a plastic strip with colored plastic on it....there is also a small light.....its very easy to take it apart...i dont know how your going to change the color on the stirp though.....i havent tried that....

Rep Power: 0 Thanks, that's what I thought but I wanted to make sure before I tried. I think you can just replace that colored strip with whatever color you want. I'll let you know how it goes.

On the 02' autos there are no orange gels the plastic piece is painted similar to the tempreture control
BTW that link doesn't tell you how to remove the gear indicator piece, only the center console
