Painting Altezza Grill

I was thinking of getting my altezza grill painted the color of my car this week, satin silver. Has anyone done this? What do you think of it? Please post pics if you have any.
thanks

I painted mine the color of my car also. Then I painted the "grill" section silver to match the grill on my body kit. Came out real good. Look at my members rides and you can see it. Click below.

i got my altezza grill painted at the honda body shop for $75. pretty steep for such a small piece, but i wanted it to look perfect. if you're looking to do it yourself, i'd suggest you go to tricity and get the silver ppg spray paint with clear coat or the duplicolor stuff (i haven't checked out either first hand tho). i don't think you have to prime the grill, but you have to scuff it before painting. tape up what you don't want to be painted and spray the paint on in an even sweeping motion so the paint doesn't drip. i'm not sure how many layers to put on, but i know that silver is a hard color to match (even with the color code.. some tinting may be required).

I got mine painted in SSM at the body shop that did some work for me in the past...(just the lip)
I dropped it off with them and left it there for about 2-3weeks and asked them to throw it in the booth the next time they did a SSM Civic...They did it for me at NO CHARGE!!

For free? That must be a nice hook up then. I'm thinking of painting it myself since I heard that it would cost $75 for the dealership to just get the trim/lip painted! But I thought they didn't do anything with aftermarket parts?
