need a cheap 4 channel amp....
i have 4 boston acoustics speakers on sale, but it seems like there are no takers, so what i am thinking of doing is putting them in my dad's 2001 maxima. his speakers sound decent enough for him, but they dont go loud at all, so i want to surprise him with these.
the problem: these speakers aren't efficient, so i know that the stock HU in the maxima wont be supplying enough power to them, so i need a decent, cheap, yet quality amp.
i need a 4 channel, at least 40 watts x 4 @ 4ohms. i looked into some cheap amps, and found the JBL 80.4, which does 40 watts x 4 @ 4ohms.
ikesound has this amp for $150, if i get it, i still need to get power, ground, rca's, speaker wire, and a line out converter since the stock HU will be used.
i was wanting to keep it under $200, but if not, i can go $250 max.
i am also looking for a small amp, something that i might be able to mount under the passengers seat.

Rep Power: 0 if you are wanting a cheap amp, go to somewhere like wal-mart or somewhere like that, you could possibly find one there that'd supply the power you need, and you won't be spending nearly as much money.

Rep Power: 337 beat me to it, i have an earthquake 4.3, 85rms @ 12 volts @ 4 ohms. only hifonics in my experience pushes out a stronger watt. outperformas many 100x4 amps out there, for sure.

Rep Power: 317 nevermind, i found someone that wants to buy my speakers. thanks for the replies though, and btw, how do you PM? i was going to PM whiterabbit about the earthquake amp, but i was clueless on how to do it.
