does any one have the DIY to De-Rattle your license plate?
go to meijer or k mart.. and get some of that door seal stuff. It's tape on one side and like a .25 inch of foam on the other side. It's used to seal up around doors when they close. Just tape it to the back of your plate and frame.

On my EL, you can remove the front plate holder by removing the bumper, and there are screws/bolts holding it on from the back. I dunno about the Civic, but I had no way of accessing the bloody thing from the front. My hands aren't small enough to squeeze behind the grille opening.

I went to wal-mart and bought these 1/2 to 3/4 inch think felt dots. Took off my license plate and stuck them all over the back of my bumper. . . take off the license plate holder too if you still have it on.
when you got yoru plates, or yoru car, i forgot, it came with that plastic insert. with teh plate unbolted, the plastic comes off with it, then you can just slide it off the plate and remount it. done!
de rattle? does yours rattle? i dont see the connection to rattling and the plastic insert......

buy some foam with the adhesive on one side.
then take it and stick it on the back of the plates.
put your frame and your plates back on the car like normal then bam, there you go.
i did on my car cause i was worried about scratching when i first got my plates in the mail
