Tein suspension Good or Bad?
I am saving up for a suspension and was looking at Tein. What other good brands are out there and what would you recommend? Money isn't an issue, I just have a thing for high quality stuff.

I'm the same way too.
From wut I have heard, the teins are easily the most popular true coilovers. I havent heard anything bad about teins, go with flex and EDFC (if they are out). I personally like B+Gs, just because they drop lower then teins, and are about the same price as the SS. The JLC-A2s (or sumthin like that) i think are pretty good too, but are a bit more expensive. Hell, if u got enuf money, get bagz! I hope u have done a search, otherwise uther peeple are gonna come in here and bitch

money aint an issue...
tein flex hands down... $1600. only member here with them is aswzero. not only does it have adjustable height, adjustable damper but it also has adjustable spring rate. and the shock body itself is height adjusted rather then the bottom perch meaning you still retain full stroke even with a 3" drop. also comes with upper pillow mount so that you wont need anything from your stock suspension, its just a straight swap.
or not sure what mods you will need for it to fit but JIC FLT-A2s for rsx... $1600 as well.

it depends on the springs you get.. teins offer different type of springs for their coilovers. i think thats why some could only lower 2" while other can lower 3". even their website sayd up like 2.7" drop.

I thought TEIN didn't make the FLEX for the 7th gen Civic... but I heard you can use the kit for the RSX though. True???
I'm confused now.

True that they do not make the FLEX for our cars, but they do for the RSX (according the the spec sheet). But they do make one for the 03+ Civic Hatchback... I could be mistaken, but wasn't the Si a 02 production model?
The lowest I can drop the rear tucks 205/50/16 tires about an inch and gives you ample suspension travel. I can get the front about half and inch lower than the rear. So I am estimating about a 2.5 to 3 inch drop. When I posted the solution for dropping my car lower than the lowest setting(taking out two of the locking perches) I recently put one back on and my tires tuck about a 1/4". Now I do not have to worry about scraping. Our car handle a lot better with the rear lower than the front. It shifts the weight on tight turns to the rear tires.
