Which Component System???
Ok everyone, I have decided that I will replace my OEM component set with a JL Audio XR650-CSi 6.5" Component Set and run them on an Alpine MRV-T320 2ch Amp. I have a few questions though.
1. First off, will the 6.5" JLs fit in the piece which the OEM 6.5" speakers fit into without any mods as well as the tweeters?
2. Secondly, I have a question about installing. I am going to do this myself, since it isn't too much harder than installing my subwoofer. I am not sure how the stock wires are plugged into the OEM 6.5" and Tweeters, but I am guessing they have an adapter like the rear 6x9s. Do I need to use larger guage wires to run from the speakers to the amplifier and leave the wires that plug into the back of the HU alone just incase I have to ever replace the new components with the OEM speakers?
3. Lastly, on the Harness, there are only wires for the front right/left and rear left/right. Now this leads me back to the previous question, do I need to leave all the OEM wires alone and wire each 6.5" speaker and tweeter directly to the crossover and then to the amplifier, or is there something else that I need to do? If I do need to use new wires, what guage should I use?
I would really appreciate your help on this matter. Overall, I think that this project wouldn't be that hard if I had these answers questions. Thank you everyone for all your help. I know that I have been posting alot lately, but I don't want to screw up anything.
