bottom engine damage

for those of you that read my previous internal engine damage post, after removing the oil pan and looking into the engine, it turns out I did not break a rod in my d17 engine, My main crankshaft bearing was toasted. The thought of my mechanic was that the aluminum cradle allowed a little flex and that helped with the bearing geting smoked. I only have a NX 50 shot installed, is it possible that a 50 shot was too much HP and compression and did the damage to the bearing or do you think it was just bad luck in my case? I'm gonna pull the N20 system out and bring it to honda and see if I can get warranty coverage, I doubt they will pull the head and look at the pistons for signs of N20 as long as there is no trace of the system ever installed- what do you guys think? It will cost me $200.00 to remove the N20 system VS. $1200.00 for out of pocket repair. If it is covered, after I get my car back is there anyway to strengthen the bottom so this will not happen again, whether it be due to N20 or any other reason that would contribute to bearing failure? I spoke with some performance engine shops and they said that even engines that are built to hundres of horsepower use the stock bearings that the original engine came with. Your thoughts please

PS- I know the situation sucks, don't lecture about N2O and inevitable engine damage!!!!

ouch.i'd remove your n2o system completely and bring the car back to the dealer.its gonna cost alot.hopefully they will put it on warranty.thats what i did in my situation.the mechanic told me later when it was fixed that i couldnt bring it back for any engine warranty cause they knew i was running n2o.oh well a least it didn't cost me.
