Noob Question~Where do I get my wires to run to my sub?

Ok, I was handed over a "Bass Tube" cheap subwoofer. I'm gonna plan to install it in my Hyundai w/o an Amp. I know the Red wire is positive and black is negative (I hooked it up to my stereo and it works). So, where do I run the speaker wires from? This is my first "ice" mod... I don't know much about it, but there's only one way to learn right? Thanx guys...

You're probably going to have to run it off an amp, I dont think a headunit will power it. Go to wall-mart or something and get a cheap jensen amp to run with it....you dont need anything high end, it's not a high end sub.

get an amp! You'll want some RCA cables too and a remote wire, ground, power. And a lil speaker wire. FOr right now though, get an amp.

Alright, I guess I'll go and get a cheap amp. Its kind of a waste of money to use on a 1987 Hyundai. I guess I'll put it in my Civic after I go back to Texas and get it in April. I MISS MY CAR!!! Anyway, after I get an amp, then which wires do I hook up to the amp and sub? I guess my question is, do I run it from the head unit, or from the rear speakers, or...? I'm making this hard for myself aren't I... I guess I'll just tell some guys around my area to help me.

rca's hook to rca jacks on rear of HU...
remote wire runs to rear of HU as well...
power wire from battery to trunk by going through cabin, under carpet and what not, to wherever you are going to mount your amp...
ground to frame, you can pick a spot, scrape all the paint off, then drill a screw into the spot with the wire attached...
speaker wire from amp (pos to pos, neg to neg) to terminal on box, or in your case tube, connect the pos wire to positive side of terminal, and neg wire to neg terminal...
that explain it for ya?

Well first of all we need to know what kind of deck you have. If its a factory deck then your not going to have rca outputs on the back out it and will need to use a high-low level line converter. The easiest place to put it would be off the rear speakers if they are mounted in the rear deck, then you would only need a short rca cable and a power kit.
