I need help...

I know I'm a newbe but I need help with something. I bought the RS grill insert for my '02 coupe but nothing lines up when I go to install it. I know that some of you have put this grill on your coupes so my question is how? I just can't figure out how it will work. My OEM grill insert has that hump above the "H" and the RS goes straight across. The screw holes don't even line up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance...

Did you take off your bumper to install it? Cuz I don't think you need the skrews behind the H. N-e ways there are clips (I think) or skrews inside your bumper that hold your grill together. Use those and the two on each side of your grill...Does this make sense???

it does make sense however, not one thing lines up. the package on the grill says '01-'02 civic. I know that they are supposed to be for the sedan but I have seen many coupes with it? the grill cover/backing just does not line up with the RS insert. should i cut the cover/backing to make it fit?

I'm not sure if this iswill help? :The Stock grill has two pieces: the part with the H, and the back part (the unpainted) thats holds the front part (H) in place. Now if you buy an RS grill you do not need the back part so just keep that in your garage somewhere.

You will also need to buy the radiator cover for a sedan if ou want to use one. The one for the coupe won't fit. If you happen to have a silver coupe however, I will gladly trade you my radiator cover for yours and your grill
