ppl with octane sides please help =)

hey i recently bought some fiberglass octane sides from a member here. i tried to test fit them today and they wont even go on!. the lenght seems fine, its just the ends seem to be pushed in a lil cuasing it not to just slide up into place. it almost seems as if the ends need to be RE-bent outwards a lil to fit.

was anyone elses like this? ive never dealt with a kit before so i dont know what to expect. as far as painting im gonna leave it to a pro. but after trying.. it doesnt look like i have the skills to put it on.

so really i just wanted to know if this was normal.

thankx
mike

fiberglass is always a pain in the a$$ to make it fit perfect they will always need modification to get it to fit. i would take it to a shop and get it to fit and paint it IMO

I ordered the octane kit too... only they screwed up an sent me the 4 dr kit... sure the bumpers were supposedly gonna fit ok... but the sides were a foot to long an were WICKED crappy!!!! i'll put a pic of my kit that i had to send back... i waited 9 weeks an they sent the wrong kit, i said forget about it an just give me my money back. The octane kit its really cheep i feel if i flicked it it would crack, i mean i love the style of it its just not mad well

you can bend the side skirts into place just use a heat gun. but when using it keep it moving and take you time bending. if you do it right everything should stay intact.

im thinking the body shop is gonna cut the wrong part and put in new fiberglass to fill it and make it fit. u should have gotten urethane!! if that kit cracks ur gonna spend a lot of cash to fix it! urethane all the way !!!!!XENON!!!!!
