aem cai hissing sound?

hey i just installed my aem cai a couple days ago and i noticed it is making this weird hissing sound everytime i step on the gas or when i start/kill my engine. when i kill my engine it makes a loooong *** hiss. i never noticed this with any of my friends' cai's an was wondering if this was normal or not. thanks

It's not just AEM either, my new Injen does the same thing. I agree with djmota, it sounds tight!

WOO WOOOOO!! haha alright thanks guys..yea i think it sounds awesome too..kinda like a blow off valve lol, but wasnt sure it was normal so..now i shall rest assured. haha i love that sound now. [IMG]i/expressions/demon.gif[/IMG]

It's totally normal. Even the STOCK one does it.... albeit much quieter, but if you listen when you shut it off, the stock one makes the whoosh noise. It's just the stopping of airflow up the intake track.

that's just the sound of your engine sucking in air. A turbo or SC would be a type of forced induction
