What's a good setting for Tien SS??????
Since the EDFC doesn't fit the 01 EX coupes, i've decided to ask you guys, whats the best setting for the Tien SS's?
I dont mind a bumpy ride, but not to the point where I'll throw up and look like a moron driving around the streets... THANKS!!

I've found that the default of 6 clicks from the hardest setting is pretty good. It is matched well with the spring rate so its not bouncy, but nice and tight. I was using it on 12-16 before cause I wanted it to be a bit more comfortable for my drive to work each day, but its way too bouncy at that setting I've found. I've also got the front lowered all the way, and the back about even just so you can have a reference.
Slikor your car looks great, absolutely love it, very clean!
What size tires are you running?
Looking at this pic below, how much more can you raise it?
(I'd like a 1" gap, front and back with my 215/45/17's.)
Something I was wondering was...does it ride better or worse as you raise it?

jwsisme: thanks man
i've got 215/45/17s, and its at about a finger gap front and back, but you could raise it probly all the way back to stock height almost. i dont know if it handles better or worse raised, i've only ridden on them with this height.

inos: I only got 215/45s cause it is supposedly closest to the stock overall tire diameter, therefore the speedometer and odometer would be off by as little as possible. However, having 215/40s should be fine, but you'll have a bit more wheel gap if you drop the same as I have it, since your tires will be a bit smaller in total diameter.
Thanks, I've gotten alot of ppl saying they like em
I got them off of eBay, from a place called x3racing.com, but you can buy them off their website too (On the website go to "Altezza Tail Lights', then select 'Honda', then 'Civic', and they are listed as the last item on the page). They are about $115.

It depends on the road surface ... if u'r driving in road full of potholes and bumps .. of course its gonna be bouncy ... right now its pretty stiff, so when i go over one bump i don't bounce ... but when i go over several bumps .. of course its gonna feel bouncy .. but not as bouncy as my goldlines .. !

I went with the same height all around and it does not handle as well as the rear being lower.
And when you talk about settings, 1 is the softest(fartherest counter-clockwise) to 16 being the stiffest (fartherest clockwise). My car's setting is 6 front and 8 rear - trying to get use to the oversteer feeling.

Ideally, depending on how stiff your car is(since the difference in spring rate between the Flex and the SS are the same, SS 8/10, Flex 10/12) and when I mean stiff I mean front/rear strut bar and a floor bar, a higher setting in the rear will make you feel like the car oversteers. I have taken a hard right and gotten the rear end to swing out a little on a dry surface. I usually drive with the front three clicks stiffer. The setting is balanced and the car feels neutral, but not toward oversteering. Every company car I see(RSX,Civic/civic hatch) has the rear lower than the front. I usually see the rear with no gap or in the well and the front having a finger gap. Why? It shifts the center of gravity towards the rear and puts less stress on the front tires. It balances the car out.

THANKS... once they are installed, ill mess around with them and see what works...
FYI, i have progress sway bars F/R, neuspeed upper front strut, dc rear upper and skunk2 rear lower... we'll see how that works!

Well it stopped on its own..../boogle...it still makes a little noise every now and then...but I hope that is completely gone once I install my Spoon Rear Upper Strut, Neuspeed Front Upper, and RSX bar....
Car is in the shop now (just dropped it off) for some bodywork due to a cart falling off a curb onto my car.
I still have to redo my fronts as well to fix the popping of the springs...3 weekends in a row of rain here
. That fix shouldn't be too hard though.
