Can I Swap My Civic /w An K20A3 (auto)?!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33615

I have an automatic transmission Civic EX. Would it be possible to swap with this K20A3? Is it still complicated as swapping with K20A... because if I'm going to be charged around $1-2k for labor anyways.. I would rather do the K20A and whole Auto->Manual conversion.

Yea.. can't imagine spending over $2k on 127->160hp. I have no clue how much labor is going to be...

but is this possible to do alone? I saw that there is a DIY for the K20A swap. I don't mind wasting a week .. to save 1-2k.

if youre gonna keep the Civic do the whole K20A conversion.

the K20A3 is a definite increase over the D17...but not worth all the hassle youd go thru to fit it in the Civic. Youd be better off just trading in the Civic on the RSX.

it'll be too much of a hassle with the costs involved since not many people have done swaps yet with the 7th gen

so better off trading in. not worth it

Check out Honda's K20 powered, 5speed auto Civic sedan at www.ilovecivic.com. Developed by Honda R&D Thailand for the south east asian market.

Christ, does American Honda even care about us? Virtually every review of the 7th gen says "great car, needs more power". Slap in a k20, add on about 40 HP, and gas mileage is still good...hello Honda? Is anyone listening AT ALL???

The Thai K20 Civic is a bit too boring for Malaysia and Singapore. When it gets here in 2004 it will probably look like the Civic RX:

1) http://www.7thgencivic.com/memberrid...cat=500&page=1

2) http://asia.vtec.net/article/CivicRX/index.html

My wish list:

1) Recaro seats
2) Brembo calipers
3) Type R style carpet mats
4) Aero - Skirting & Trunk Spoiler
5) Mesh Grille
6) 16" RX style wheels w/Dunlop LM702s or similar
7) HID
8) Performance Exhaust
9) K&N filter element
10) Momo steering wheel
11) Kenwood Music Keg + Subwoofer

You would have to change the intake manifold and make a cuxtom driverside mount. But, other than that it can be done.
