whats up w/ my drop?

Does my ride look like it's dropped 2.0 inches in the back? I was looking at it, and in the picture it doesn't look low enough. Whats the deal? I have 2 12" subs and a heavy box in the back too. Would the bump stops have anything to do with ride height? Like if the shop didn't cut them? If needed, I have pics of the gap close up, lemme know! Thanks...

ya doesnt look that low.. if your car was laying on the bumpstops you'd know..
are you sure it was the race springs? i believe they're yellow. also your tires are kinda small... should have like a 1 finger gap all around.. when did you get them installed? it takes a few days for them to "settle"

if that's the pic in member rides it doesn't look like ti.
maybe it's just a bad pic at night
or they haven't settled yet
if you can barely get your finger through it then it's dropped
got any other pics?

here are some more pics and yep they're race (you can see the yellow spring thru the rim) so what do you think?

edit - i will try and find a ruler to give you an idea of the gap, looking at the pics its hard to tell.

did you say you had a problem with this a long time ago? i know someone posted this a long time ago..
but ya it doesnt look like a 2.25" drop.. almost like a 1.75"
your gap should be like mine cause your tires are exactly an inch smaller(i have 215-40-18) with neuspeed sports. i dunno maybe the neuspeed race doesnt drop 2.25"? your not the first to complain about the drop

VN- nope wasn't me, but I did post a few messages to certain threads discussing the drop on race springs. I mean, the drop looks good in person, just wish there was zero gap, as apposed to the 1in.

Speedracer- I've had them on since december (or around there), can't remember the date actually. The ride is very smooth on highways and roads with smooth surfaces. But on roads with imperfections, (like neighborhood streets with bad pavement, etc) it gets pretty rough. How about you? I see you have goldlines?

if i was in your shoes and could, i'd just chop off a dead coil from each side, should drop an extra 1/3" or so.
i want to do it to mine but question is how would i cut it.. dont have any tools to cut it with. n dont want to hassle with installation again...

its because your tires are alot smaller than stock. your original tire diameter is 24.25 inches. your new tire/rim set up is 23.78 inches. the diffrence is 0.47(1/2 inch) smaller. that is why it doesn't close the gap...

well i guess you haven't had them on too long. i guess syou could give them a little more time but i wouldn't cut them if i were you. but the tires do make a difference too. i have 215 40 17 and withthe GOldlines it'll look good.Rider has the same springs
I haven't put mine on yet becuase it keeps snowing were i am so ima wait another month or twoat the most.
But it is useless washing you car cause it's been raining and snowing every other day but i'll post when i put them one. I'll probably have a new bumper by then too
what tire kind of tires do you have?

everyone - thanks for the suggestions! Maybe I should just get some subs with like 20 pound magnets? lol

speedracer- I have 215/40/17 Falken Ziex 512 tires (same brand and model tire VNlilMAN has, he suggested them, I like um) I hear ya about not dropping in the winter. Good idea.
