Well, to go lower you are supposed to cut your stock shocks...cut that stock spring perch I mean.

Nope. The instructions for the GC's that I saw said to cut the perch but your shocks will be usless for springs.

It's pictured everywhere somewhere in those coils install DIY....! ! !
You have to cut the perch and you won't be able to put back the stock springs back on that's why I bought some aftermarket springs ...!!!

Do all coilovers come with these problems? I have only dealt with aftermarket springs.

i recently got some OBX Coilovers for my civic and the spinner/ sleeve won't fit for the front so i took it to the shop where i got them and they are going to put them on. i have a 6in drop on my civic believe me cutting stock springs= not smart i learned the hard way and then pretty much riding on bump stops in the rear is not fun either

sounds like weak design to me . GC's don't have that problem. the collar is small enough to go almost all the way down on the front and back without cutting.
I ran mine like that for a long time. after I got my konis then I decided to wack the front perch off. I don't ever want to be stock height anyways.
I find them really easy to adjust as precise as I want. Its all in starting them out even and keeping track of how much you turn them.

No, it is not that the coil-over will not seat all the way down, that part is fine. It is that you can not turn the nut all the way down cause the perch is in the way. I had the same problem with my hatchback but I raised it up for the winter anyway.
