Civic vs Stang in winter wonderland
Civic vs Stang in winter wonderland
Hi, I wanted to share this little adventure I had today to mabye better understand the everlasting rage and anger that domestic car finatics have with imports.
I was driving on a fairly bussy 2 lane road and a 98 black GT Stang with blue racing flames reves his engine like mad and floors past me, he does this about 2 more times when I catch up to him. Now while I'm laughing to myself finding this quite ammusing it's snowing and it's windier than hell. One of my best friends owns a Mustang and I've rode with him many of times and I know that in the winter, they're death traps and speeding and slamming on the breaks is a big no.
So I turn onto a side road that's 30mph and has 2 lanes, with double yellow lines, which means what...no passing. I'm driving the speed limit trying to aviod any hidden pigs since the road is in a wooded area and they love to hide out.
It was just us on the road and after hearing his reving for a mile he decides that I'm way to slow for him...so he pulls up next to me and revs it some more...then when he decided he saw on comming trafic he floors it to pass me up and in return his back end goes diagonlly into a ditch and across a front lawn into a mail box which flew onto his winshield....then swurvs back onto the road behind me almost hitting on comming traffic.
Was his ego that big that he felt the need to wreck his front end on the account of just a little black civic? He had to have which put work into that engine, it sounded like the valves were done. Anyways I was just currious if people could fill me in why domestics think they own the road and always have the last laugh....well in this case, I guess I did...but still.
And for one more pice of info....my civic, going around 80 beat him and he was trying to catch up...guess it didn't help he couldn't stay on the road. Mabye for his next car he'll invest in a Civic.

Well he got what he deserved.
But about your domestic question. I used to drive a 90 Civic and then I drove a 97 Trans Am, and not i'm back to my trusty 02 Civic. I don't know what the deal is. It's kinda like being a racist I guess. Some poeple group together and think that they are superior so they act like jerks. The line just happens to be drawn with domestics and imports.
But don't act like the innocent one because Import drivers can be just as big of a$$holes.

I know....there are those people out there. I live in a suburb outside of Chicago called Naperville and in our city there's a team that has all Acura cars....Integra's.
If and whenever I pull up next to one, just to have the slightest bit of fun they act like asses and do the same exact thing this Stang guy did. I see it as hey you have an Acura....I have a Honda, we're on the same side....but nope....I have a Civic.....it's not an Integra.
So at times I feel that Honda is looked down upon in comparision to the Integra....at least in those team members eyes. Would you happend to have any idea why those Integra drives seem to act that way.....In a way were all Honda's aren't we?
