1/4 mile time from the G-Tech
I have not taken my car to the track but i hooked up my G-Tech about an hour ago. I have a 5 speed EX with no mods. the rear interior is out for sound deadening (no rear seat, side pannels, rear deck, seatbelts or anything in the trunk but 3 rolls of Lightning Audio Aluminum mat and a few cans of expanding foam) here is what happend:
Run 1
did a nice burn out
0-60 8.40
1/4 mile 16.7 @ 87.0
Run 2
Good launch..slight chirp off the line and into second.
0-60 8.09
1/4 mile 16.40 @89.0
Run 3
Good launch but slipped the clutch more, no chirp off the line
0-60 8.09
1/4 mile 16.44 @87.9
This is faster than my 1999 mustang did bone stock (16.7-16.8 with 0-60 times in the 8.6 sec range) oh...i noticed my speeds are closer to cars in the 15's maybe i put the weight of my car in wrong. I set the weight of my car in at 2600 pounds....i think our curb weight is about 2550 but i subtracted the interior and added me (230-240)

i think there's something wrong with my G-tech, it said my horsepower was at 87not 187...just 87. I think that might be wrong considering i have exhaust, intake, and header. I did everything right too, just like it said in the manual. Do you know why?
I would not quote the G-tech as actual times. When you hit the track you'll know what your doing wrong. Bogging or no chirp means you didn't launch high enough. Dropping the clutch at 5k and spinning to much is also just as bad. You want a medium of both and some wheel spin. When you do hit the track aim for 2.2 60ft's. With trap speeds of 86 or higher you'll be in the 15's with a decent launch
