Headlight Bulb Out, But High Beams Work?
Ya, so my left headlight bulb is out for some odd reason. I replaced the bulbs with some Xenon Super Plasma ones last summer and love them. So what I want to know is how can my high beams work on both headlights, but when I turn them off I get one bulb working and one bulb not. What's wrong? Any ideas or is it so simply it's stupid? I checked for an archive posting, but so luck.
Thanks

H4's are double-filament. Meaning one of your bulbs has the low beam filament fried, but the other still works for high beam.
You'll have to replace the burnt one. Half a year is about how long the no-name (heck, even PIAAs are known to only last that long sometimes) ones last... Stock bulbs are the only ones that will last you a decade.

Same **** happened to mei think i'll just drive around with my highbeams.... It was funny I slammed my trunk and the right one work for like 5 min and shut off.... 20 bux for the bulbs and they've lasted over 6 months.
