2k1 civic VS 2k1 Sentra SER

I know a lot of people don't support street racing, but sometimes I just love the adrenaline. well here goes anyway, I pull up to a light looking next to me is a light blue sentra ser I knew it right from the time I pulled up this guy wanted to race, all I said was damn here I go again... he started to let go of his brakes and getting prepared to launch. I wait and watch the ligts it turns yellow for the opposing, I let go of my brakes and its green. I think go, go, go. Going through first I took him, then I shifted my tires chirp I get a little more of a lead. As I shift towards third I feel his presence looming besides me, about 50-60 he begins to get the best of the civi and we inch towards seventy and oncoming traffic, I begin to slow and this guys keeps accelarating. I dunno in my opinion what a moron. I followed him but not the way he was drivin', it reminded me of my stupid *** when I first got my car. Weaving in and out of traffic like a ****, cuttin a lot of people off, and then to top it off he changes lanes in the middle of going through an intersection. I dunno about two miles ahead we end up at another light and go at it again, same thing occurs I, then him, then traffic. I am out. Thats my story of the sentra...

Congrats on your kill..........that being said i know a kill is a kill but if this guy knew he was racing the entire time he would have ripped you a new one.......was it stick or auto?.....was it spec v or regular......doesnt mean anything just 10 hp from an exhaust.......i test drove the auto regular se-r and that thing had some *****......what mods do you have done to your car....this car has 165 hp as the lower form this car is just as fast as my car if not faster and lets just say i can beat 7th gen 5 speed ex with i/e... please dont mag race by telling me but ohh look at the 0-60....next time go from the start or a roll it dont matter but honk it off 3 times to know hes going at the same time you are.

Freak, not to bag on ya but my girl has the Se-r in auto stock. I'm sorry but she kills me every time. I am a much better driver then her and I still can not keep up. I get a nice launch on her everytime but as soon as 30-35 comes around, she is starting to pass me and does not look back. I have ran her car against my friends Gs-r with intake, exhaust and cam gears and he gets the best of the sentra by no more than a foot. Again, good win but I find it unlikely, at lease with my civic and my girls se-r

A manual tranny SER will beat a civic fairly well... it's a low 15 second car. Hey may have missed a shift, which could have made the difference to 60mph.

An auto SER will run maybe high 15's or 16 flat. Which means the guy who has a GSR lightly modded and can only beat the AUTO SER by a foot needs some driving lessons.

The spec V is also a low 15 second car in manual form. (not even sure if this comes auto?)

However, the Sentra SE is a high 15/low 16 second car. Close race for a civic.

the spec v comes only with a 6 speed, and this cars with simple bolt ons i/h/e you have a mid 14 second sentra.

im pretty sure he didnt, those cars are so easy to drive anyways. i have i,h,e cam gear at 4 degrees, pullies and vafc controller. last time i ran with some nitto racing slicks i ran a 15.8. maybe he did mess up but didnt look like it, i didnt say i killed him but he never caught up. like i said i raced my friends and he beat me by 3 cars stock, thats when i had i,h,e. last time i saw him run was a 15.6. they are nice and i wish i had that instead of my civic! but i did win. iv raced several ser's and spec v's the only one iv lost to was my friends

For this year there is only the Sentra XE, GXE, SER Sedan, and the SER Spec-V, the 2001 civics will hang with the XE, and the GXE and maybe if the SER Sedan is an Auto and the civic is a 5spd and the civic is a really nasty driver and the SER driver isn't then you guys would hang, but no civic ex regardless of anything is going to hang with a spec V. Now I don't know (or care for that matter) what your little magazine times claim this is what I have seen in my area, if those goes against the personal experiences of others thats great just tellign you what happens around here

Hey thats cool. I have to give props to your cars too. When I first bought my car and wasnt used to it, a friend that got a 2001 EX that drives excelent mtx cars too and had i/e and nice tires wanted to race me just to see how fast was the spec, well he smoked me off the line, I shifted to second and I was even, third gear I jumped a little and the race was over due to oncoming traffic, it scared the **** out of me. If he had smoked my *** my friends would have murdered me and would laugh at me the rest of my life. So you got some descent cars in there guys.
