stop freaking racing on the streets

I was just driving home along the 57 on Christmas eve when I witnessed the most horrible thing. Two stupid assed head kids were racing each other and weaving through traffic. One made a bad turn and caused an SUV to slam on the brakes... causing it to lose control and roll over multiple times... with wrapped presents and body parts spraying all over the place. All while the two retards drove away scott free.

A family died cause of it...all on Christmas eve... probably coming home from a happy dinner... (would be) going on to enjoy a good Christmas day. Was it worth it? Was it freaking worth it? All for a few minutes of fun and some stupid kids to think they were cool? I hope those two racers die the most horrible deaths that can be brought on this earth... My friend's sister, who grew up with me across the street, died on her way home from homecoming cause her ride just had to race along the 5.... she not only died, but she was alive for 10 minutes while she tried to hold in her intestines that had spilled out from a massive laceration across her abdomen...

I hope this stops at least some of you from EVER racing on the streets again. Take it to the freaking track.

This is so true. That is a horrible incident that happened. But we all have driven over the speed limit at some point in our driving career. Statistics say that everyone breaks a driving law once every 2 city blocks. Sometimes we are lucky somtimes we are stupid like these kids and an accident occurs. This story isn't gonna stop me from racing, I'll tell you that right now.

Also, the Street Encounters forum does not encourage racing. Notice, it's not name the Street Racing Forum. This forum is about anything that we witness or do while driving. Yes, racing is a part of it. And no one is encouraging anyone to race. Usually if anything people are flamed for racing on the street when they post up a thread.

I'm with you on this one. Any pansy can street race. All you have to do is push the gas. But it takes a real man to realize that you're endangering everyone else's lives. You may be the greatest street racer in the world, but the other people on the road aren't. If you get cut off going 100, nothing is gonna save you. Maybe we need a Brothers against Street Racing instead of band of ballers. For real, don't street race. Too many bad things happen for a couple seconds of fun.

Behind you guys 100%.
What upsets me (besides hearing stories as above) is people i see racing on the freeway in traffic. Or in very light traffic and take the breakdown lane to pass some one up. Why dont these people think that there just might be some there waiting for a towtruck.

you make a good point. i am not against you in any way. suv's always tip over in accidents.
to tell you the truth, in my opinion you should purchase a coffin when you purchase an suv, theyre just too dangerous. why didnt you stop? that wouldve been very helpful. thats what i woulda done. a lady did for me when some guy ran a red light and hit my car. totalled my car and damn killed me and my girl. i broke my hand in the accident and had two surgeries. now whenever i see an accident i always stay and see how severe it is before driving away. either that or stopped one of the two kids.

those kids have to live with themselves for the reast of their lives. even if they were cought, they have to live with the with themselves for the rest of their lives, which is cruel enough punishment. once they grow old and die, they will simply rot away, with no redemption, no forgiveness.... thats the worst death of all. the least they could have done is stop, help, and confess...

i pray the family was ok though, i hope no one died or was hurt badly. sorry you had to see it.

Where did this happen exactly? I would of followed those fuc.kers, took their license plates, pulled them out and beat them to a bloody pulp, then notify the authorities.

I like to go fast and all, but my car (our cars) are not that fast! So, why race on the street when others out there do not know what is going on around them and should not have to deal with dumb azzes driving around like freak shows? It is all stupid. Just my two cents...

Last night on the way home from work i was in the well known parking lot (the 105fwy for those that live in Los Angeles County) going about 65. I look to my right and there is a Honda Accord and an escort going at it. Tail Gating each other, cutting each other off & and rapidly slamming on the brakes. This went on for a few miles, i slowed down and laid low knowing these idiots may cause an accident. Glad to say neither of them caused an accident, but at the time they were hitting 85 and the escort cut off the accord the accord slammed on its brakes and nearly hit a truck and nearly lost complete control.

Where is the damn law enforcement when you need them. Sure they dont see these *** holes on the highway trying to kill each other, but yet when i am hitting 70 in a 65 zone (while everyone else is hitting 80-85) they pull me over and give me a damn speeding ticket.

If you witnessed this accident...then you also saw the Police Interceptor a few car lengths behind the SUV. The man, from the MFN, pulled over to assist. There was no family, a happy dinner, or body parts flying out the windows! There was one female driver who survived with only cuts and bruises. Street racing is moronic, but spreading lies about it is not neccessary.

I know the guy who pulled over to help before the ambulance and police arrived. He also tossed flares to divert traffic around the accident.

Wow, we need more people like that.
I personally feel that i must make an attempt to assist any one who is stranded on the side of the road, otherwise i cant go on with my day. What if one day its your turn to sit in those shoes, or maybe a family member, you would want someone to stop and atleast offer their cell phone to make a call.

I would agree with pstlnc, how can body parts fly around in a car that rolls?
Unless, everyone was not wearing the seatbelts with multiple jagged edges strewn about the car.
I hate to zigzag in traffic because I trust that my skills have been honed and I keep myself fully aware of my environment but the retarded SUVs out in the road can't drive, let alone see me, so I wouldn't even drive recklessly because it would be THEM killng me, not me killing them.

The reason the SUV crashed, according to the police report, was because one of the racers clipped the front end while pulling sharply into it's lane.

But if what PESTLNC is saying is true, someone needs to stop imbellishing their tales a little bit.

Btw were you there or heard it on the news cuz youre saying kids is that a stereotype cuz you only think kids street race I know people in their 30-40's that race? It's wrong to race on the highway with people around cuz someone can be hurt and if people race take it to the street or somewhere were no one is around and if you do crash youll only be hurting yourself.
