Rep Power: 0 Smog certification- pass or fail
Has any one here had a difficult time passing smog? Did you fail? Barely pass? Got a buddy that works at a shop? And what mods do have on your car to cause these difficulties?
P.S. searched and found nothing, if re-post sorry

that's right...because we don't need testing for another 4-5 years.
or are you asking on behalf of another car?

Rep Power: 0 I was just asking incase someone purchased a used one, maybe they had to re-register it. There are many possibilites for a smog test. Since our cars ULEV, I was wondering if any one would or did have trouble with smog testing
4-5 yrs for a smog, NO. The smogs are supposed to be done Bi-annually.

Rep Power: 0 lets see...
intake = ULEV
+ exhaust = ULEV
+ headers = ULEV
- headers + turbo kit = LEV
in other words... i would think that it would be really hard for our cars to not pass smog any way you slice it...

Rep Power: 0 I recently had to get a smog test done on my 01 EX coupe, cuz I moved to San Diego from Canada, and I brought my car with me. DMV classified my car as a "foreign" car, and so I had to get it smogged in order to register it. Test was easy, and they give you a printout of your emissions -- took 15 minutes and cost $35. All my levels were way below the acceptable levels... almost negligible. I guess our emissions really are "ultra-low".

Rep Power: 0 How many years do you have in the US before having to get the smoke test?
Here in Mexico new cars get two years, and my is already over, I´ll take it next friday to get tested. Mexico city (supposedly) has the same smoke restrictions set by California, so let´s see. I honestly expect the car to pass by a very wide margin since it´s supposed to be a ULEV car and I only use premium fuel.
Still I´ve been speeding a little to clean my pipes!
