Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 or Yokohama AVS ES100 ??

Hi there,

to all the Civic lovers out there. I have a question here. It may have been discussed before but I could not find.

I am buying new tyres for my baby 215/45/17. Two options on my mind
Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 or Yokohama AVS ES 100.
Any comment?

For Kumho, 4 new tyres cost me US$ 295 while Yokohama US$ 350. What do you guys think? I am really at a junction. Please advise.

Thank you.

RedDragon333 will become famous soon enough
the Yokos are better but not by much i personally have the 712s and they are great looking tires as well as the traction for everday driving work great. If it were me i would go with the Kumhos and save a bit of cash
PS prolly should be in the Wheels and tire forum but your new so its cool

Not forget to mention that I heard from friends that Kumho is bit noisy while the Yokohama is very quiet. Is that true?

Well my Kumho 712's have a little road noise but not bad for the $$$ you save. Now those Yokos I haven't really looked at. I wanted the Yoko Avid H4's but they were out of stock and were like $108 each and the 712's were like 86 each so I saved some money instead.

The 712 I have noticed pick up a few rocks but other then that all good

i have the kumhos too, and i love them, i have about 14000 miles on them and they have an average of half the tread left(a little less on front, little more on rear, i didnt rotate them yet mind you, but i will when they go back on in the spring). there is a little road noise, but nothing overwhelming, its liveable. great handleing characteristics, i have never heard of the ES 100, is it a new tire? but anyway, Kumho's are great tires, way underpriced.
