Need help installing strut bar and emblem, maybe blacked housings too?

Alright..... I'm as all thumbs as you can get...

I've got a RActive front strut tower bar that's been sitting in my trunk for over a week, since I don't have the tools to install it. I tried with my crappy $15 wrench set, and I think I almost stripped the strut tower nuts!

I also finally bought the front OEM emblem from Acura, but they were going to charge me $89 to install it! They said they'd have to remove bumper, but since my fogs were also in the way, would also have to unplug them, install it, then reverse the install.... 1 hr labour! It's 3 times more than the price of the emblem!

Wondering if anyone wants to do this for me

Perhaps, if it's not worth the hassle to do just these two things, maybe I should get my housings cleared and blacked out?? Anyone wanna do it (at least the first two!) ??? Any suggestions?

if you get a ratchet set im sure the front strut is easy to install. Might need some nut loosener (spray) if tough to remove.

the lights are pretty straight foward....following the diy should get you most of the way there...if you have any questions post them and im sure you'll get an answer...there are plenty of ppl here who have experience doing them. my advice would be to be patient and make sure you heat it throughly so you wont have too much trouble seperating the two peices....then take your time sealing them up. the strut bar is pretty eash too....my suggestion would be to get a rachet with an deep socket....im not sure about the size, if you really need it i can go check for you, but once you have the tools im sure you'll be able to get it on no problem...good luck!

I ran out and bought a cheap little $15 Canadian Tire set..... It's one of those "70 piece automotive tool set POS" things.... Oh man, one of the worst $15 I've ever spent...

There's no way I'm gonna clear/black my housings on my own, this is one thing that I'd have to seek professional help I'm freaked as hell about them leaking and fogging up....

there's not much too it and if it leaks or fogs you can fix it. when you're ready to have the light reassembled then just fill the seams with silicone and then touch up the edges when the two pieces are back together. snap all the clips back on a let them dry overnight if possible. thats the safest way. ive cleared about 5 sets of lights and havent had a problem so far....you can do it....

oh, for the tie bar, you need a rachet with a 14mm deep socket....
