Black junk on wheel

This just started happening recently. I will wash my car, and after I drive it around for a day, there will be some black stuff all over the front, driver's side wheel. It's not the wheel because I have had them rotated and the same thing happens. All of the other wheels stay clean, but the front, driver's side gets grease or something on it. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Sounds like brake dust. As your brakes wear, the dust blackens everything around it. Usually you'll see it on cars with disc brakes since the disc and pads are exposed.

Yeah sounds like brake dust. It wont wash off with water, you'll actually have to wipe it off.

Maybe check the seals and covers on your CV joints. It it's leaking, get it fixed before the joint tears up. They can be costly.
