open deck and close deck

and anyone plz tell me what is a open deck and what is a close deck....
coz i have no idea what's the different......

Edit: there is different kind of block in different engines, and some are open deck and some are close deck, so i want to know what's the differences between the two....

UM I was defending you, so don't get all in a frenzy. Read the quote "there are no stupid questions" (which means you didn't ask a stupid question) "just stupid people" (which means that people who don't ask questions aren't to bright).

I have no idea what the differnce is between a "open deck and closed deck" but the reason why I went ot this thread was to find out.

when I forget to take out my cd outta the player it says open deck, it's very annoying, be sure to take the cd out before placing another cd in there, that way there you get a closed deck.

Open deck is a engine block with cut out around the cylinder for better cooling=()=()=()=()=. Closed deck is a solid block. Closed decks is preferred for boosting because the metal cut in open decks can flex to much under boost.
