i apologize up front for any grammatical errors and stupid questions, but i just worked 18 hours and most of them were spent bored as helllllllllll, anyways,,first off, hood scoopes,, suppose i wanted to bootleg my own black widow hood,,couldnt i just buy the scoops (seen them online) and have them put into my oem hood or maybe a carbon fiber hood. Carbon fiber hood,, i was told by many on this board that they couldnt be painted or something yet ive seen several in members rides that were painted (one was half silver) so whats up with that? now on to exhaust,,im in so much crap in court that i wont have a large sum of money to spend on my car for a while, so should i really bother spending500+ on a cat back exhaust when i could just buy and nice looking universal muffler and have it welded on to the existing piping or maybe have custom piping done (couldnt be too much could it?),,,all right now a break from the commas,,,,

now for the weird stuff,,, im looking for the link but cant find it but have you seen those trucks with the front grills all flamed up with skulls and what not,,i a big fan of that stuff and was wondering the biggest size i could get it and just cut it to fit when i get my kit,,now that would be badazz,,,anyways,,enough rambling for now ill finish later,

OK well that was a mouthful ............

I will see what I can do to answer some of these questions ...

First, as far as scoops go they sell them for that reason so that you can build your own creations. You "can" buy them and have them molded into the hood and they will look just fine, as far as them looking good, each to his own I guess.

Second as for the Carbon fiber hoods, I am not 100% sure, but I know you can paint them, why i dont know, our cars are not meant for racing so I would get them for looks. I think if you were to paint them you would want one of the unfinished ones so you can do what you want with them.

Third, the exhaust, if you get something nice and quiet, as well as street legal you will have no problem, most would tell you the Greddy, Skunk2, or the MagnaFlow. I can personally vouch for the MagnaFlow, others can tell you how they like their exhausts. But if you are going to get an exhaust, either buy the cat-back system, or the muffler and do custom piping, you wont regret it.

As for the skull thing I cant help you there because thats a new one to me, but youmight want to try some of the trucking sites online they might know.

1) you can put those scoops in your hood, but you will need someone who can fiberglass it in.
2) I can painting some of the CF hood but not all of it. YOu would want it for looks, since our cars go slow. I wouldn't try putting a hood scoop in a CF hood tho. If you want that then buy one that way.
3) the skunk 2, greddy (though it is loud), thermal and neuspeed are good choices. DC sports and magnaflow are alright. The most gains so far i think are from the greddy.
4) i think the skull thing might be kinda difficult since our grills are really small. U can try tho, but I think you won't fit much in there.

If you want true gains from your exhaust get a Tanabe Super Racing Medalion system. It's been dynoed to show that it provides the most gains for our car of any other system out there.
