I still plan on buying Koni over Tokico anyways. That is if I decide not to go with B+G
Thanks for the update though

Well, no one knows when the Koni reds will be released, the Tokico blues will be very reasonable priced, but as to which is better...I dunno.
My guess is the Koni's will be slightly better, cost a bit more, and be released after I have purchased my suspension. I can't wait much longer.

Koni typically has been regarded as a higher quality part then most others. Theyre more recognized around race circuits and serious racers as being one of the best. The only thing I've heard bad about Tokico's was a couple of years ago. Some peeps were saying that they tended to fade out quicker and give a harsh ride. Not sure what Tokico line it was though, and again this years ago.

i think one reason people want the tokico's over the koni yellows is cause you have to cut up the factory units and use the bodies cause the koni's are just inserts

n konis just cost too damn much 550 for some shocks.. come on... they're just inserts too. tokicos should be full struts and probably a bill less then that.. konis are good but tokicos arent far behind.. and konis seems to have a weak lower perch...

I'm not much of the "hardcore enthusiast," so I just want some shocks that'll last. Most likely I'll buy the more inexpensive ones, maybe the KYB or Tokicos. Its about time.... But my shocks are still good, so I can wait until they go. The reinstalling and alignment crap is gonna be a pain... Just like the first time..

I had tokico blues on a '93 accord. They were like $60 a piece (this was about 5 yrs ago) and performed awesome. Plus, they come with a lifetime warranty so if they did every blow than there aren't any worries. Well, you can't have a car in the weeds. I don't know if they are better than the koni brand but they definately aren't inferior. It's probably a preference debate for the most part.
I don't like the idea of cutting up my front struts nor the idea of f-in inserts. Plus, I don't want adjustible struts/shocks anyway. I don't autocross and really don't feel like I need adjustible dampening. Lastly, $550 is a little too much for me. However, I am replacing my stock units by summer so if the tokicos aren't out, I will give in to the konis.

Ooou.. I'm definitely getting Tokicos in the spring (if they are out). Gotta get alarm/remote first now.. but shocks are definitely on the list. I have over 90,000km on my car (about 60,000miles) with Eibach Pro-Kit installed. I bet my shocks are gone, but I don't even know it. Haha...
