OBDI versus OBDII

I was reading some stuff on the hondata website and they never really cover why OBDI is preferred over OBDII.

My friend put the AEM EMS in his itr and he said the program basically converted his OBDII to OBDI. i just want to know why OBDI is better and apparently more programmable than OBDII?

Newer Car's have OBDll Because it is better for emissions and you can have more sensors so make it have better emissions. The reason the changed it back to OBDl is because OBDll you can't modify the code without flashing the chip inside OBDl is easy to modify because it's not locked. Hope that helps.
