Time to move on.
So, my Check Engine light came on for a second time this month, my idle sits at 1500rpm, and I have some weird noises from my engine bay... I only have 5000 miles left of my bumper-bumper warranty and from my service records my car looks like it's going to be a lemon... Now, what do you guys think I should do, upgrade to a new, better car. If so, my choices are either a Subaru WRX sport Wagon or a VW GTI 337. What do you guys think I should do?

Well, the price of a WRX is $36,400 CDN(after taxes, $39K!) and the GTI 337 is $34,500 CDN(after taxes $37K) So, less than $2000CDN or about $1300US. So, it still doesn't help me to decide. I would prefer AWD for the winter time here but I can't justify spend almost $40K on a car... However, I look at the GTI 337 and it's almost overpriced! I can get a regular GTI 1.8T with leather for under $30K CDN after taxes! As for test driving both of them, I took the 337 out and I really enjoyed it. As for the WRX, I cannot. The salesmen at subaru are quite stuck-up and definilty don't think I am a potential buyer(little do they know what my career is). So, they won't even let me test drive a WRX.

Here too... they are very picky about WRX test drives. If you go in there and start asking technical questions, and get them to realize you're wanting to buy, then they'll let you take one out.
Just an FYI---> VW dealers are now accepting deposits on Golf R32's (240 HP, 3.2L VR6 + 4 Motion). I think they're 04 models, it depends if you want to wait for it, and whether or not you have the $28000 US it costs to get one, cuz I doubt that they'll discount them a penny.

Well, the VW dealer has had this 337 for about 2 months now. I seen happened to be there the da after it came in and they were saying that it's a hot item and somebody is going to buy it right away. Well, it's still sitting there after 2 months already! Nobody is going to buy a car like that to drive around in the snow. I had to put a deposit on the car to drive it. Now, the Subaru dealer won't take you out for a test drive unless you basically pay for the car or fill out a bill of sale and put a deposit down on it. Very stingy people I tell you and you can't deal a cent with Subaru. Their attitude is pay full price else someone else will... That used to work but they're not selling every WRX thats coming in.
hmmm... i recommend the wrx. i took one for a test drive by my self a while ago. had lots fun **** kicking it, and launching @ 5000 rpm. clutch started burning after awhile... my advice for a test drive would be to make it sound like your gonna buy the car, and dress sort of nice (i.e. jeans and t-shirt won't do). oh yeah...invoice on a wrx sedan(manual) = $31659. u should be able to get $2000 off the price off MSRP. if ur sales man sucks, ask to talk to the sales manager....raise some hell...it's not like ur test driving a “E46 M3”. good luck with ur purchase.

which probably will be outrageously priced, but it'd still be a nice car to have if you can justify what you pay for it.
I don't know about where you guys live, but for the most part, no VW dealer in the midwest has kept a 337 overnight. Finding one would be pretty hard. Maybe if you want a Golf though, get a 1.8T version and play with that. They can get up to 290hp with turbo upgrades and such from APR. I would personally go for an Audi with Quattro.

I vote for the 337 (surprise). The WRX will certainly be the better performer, but it's just so damn ugly. The 337 is fast enough and looks great inside and out. Plus it's cheaper.
