Uhh, do you come from another planet? K&N FIPK is an aftermarket intake kit. (You know, like Injen, and AEM.....) My dad has the K&N FIPK system on his C5 along with a polycarbonate MAF sensor. Sweet thing about his is that the filter is designed to actually direct the air thru the huge cowl straight into the throttle like a horizontal tornado, rather then it being swirled around all crazy like a stock intake does.

Anyways, Put up some pics of the installs. But really, are you sure its not mostly a mental difference to you now? Knowing you have the intake system and the aggressive new sound it throws off? I think most everyone here will aggree that its not very noticable difference from stock to have an aftermarket intake.

what mods have you done. just a new intake pipe wont do squat, and you must be ripping the gears to pieces in order to chirp third.

I finished mine today too. I definitely see what everyone meant by being higher quality than the Injen and AEM. I don't have personal experience with the AEM, but it's light years beyond the Injen CAI that this replaced. The sound is different - not as deep, but also not as loud, until I get to about 6000 RPM, when it starts screaming! Overall, i'm very pleased with it so far. I'll try and get a camera to get pics up.

You chirped third? With stock tires? How was the traction? Wet? Dry? Humid? Cold out? Hot out?
Just wondering 'cause I could never chirp third when it was warm and dry using stock tires.

I can chirp third now with aftermarket tires, when it'd humid (at the very least). When it's a little wet it's easier.
Although maybe chirp is not the right word. It chirps on dry pavement. It slips on wet pavement.

It was stock tires, dry, and cold. I have custom cat back exhaust, k&N intake, kamikaze header, AEM pullies.
