Headers....i know i know its been talked about before
YES i know its been talked about before but i have a question that no one is going to answer in the old threads...so i made a new one...
I looked over the threads and i wanted to know if it is because the hp 4-1 header comes with a highflow cat is why its not smog legal...
So if i were to go with a hp shorty, and later on get a highflow cat...would it not pass emmissions?

I have the Hp 4-1 racing header. I don't think you'll be able to pass with it because it's not really a cat at all. You can see through the whole pipe where opposed to the factory that has all those coned shaped things on the inside that collects the "nasty stuff". As far as a shorty with a different brand high flow cat, I say contact the retailer that you want to buy the high flow cat from and see what they say about emissions on they're product.
Oh, I just heard from my friend at work that if your ECU is tuned right, it shouldn't matter if you have a cat or not.. I told him he was full of **** but I may be wrong.
