Hp Racing header installed

I just got it installed and it really added some hp!!! I didn't expect it to do so well. Here's is some info: I have a 2001 Ex coupe. They had to take the whole left/front motor mount out to get the header in. It fit when they put the mount back on, but it made a awful vibrating noise when I drove it down the road. So, we cut the peice that was causing this and that is all. i haven't received the O2 simulator yet, but I will Monday. I highly suggest this header. Cutting that mount wasn't as big of a deal as i thought it would be. I hope this helps

It's all in your head. You definitely cannot feel a difference. Take it to a dyno you'll see what I mean.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

um, no I actually have been into modding cars for a long time.. and I KNOW when I feel a difference. I KNOW i felt a nice pull after installing my HP header, pull 250 bucks outta that budget and see for yourself. Even a good friend of mine and member of this board who's been into imports longer than most of the people I know can feel the difference behind the wheel, and in the passenger seat. For the rest of you, don't let the negativity on this board discourage you. There are a lot of people on this forum who are really down about their car because it's not competing with skylines, and supras. Just have a good time with your car, and come on down to Houston in January/Febuary and see my finished project. You'll be shocked at what a 7th gen can do after reading all the BS on this board. Talk to Black99vtec, he'll completely agree... his car is moving along nicely.

Do you have this header?? If so, I can't imagine how you didn't feel a difference. I can fell it through the whole power band. It can't be in my head either because I've had three previous vics and I had them modded up, but this is by far the best bolt- on mod i have ever done... I just want to say that it is worth every cent of what it cost...Don't listen to the negativity as boost said because I can tell gains...especially with our cars

I dont think its in his head. I bet he'll get better results once he gets that o2 simulator in too.

here's why the header simply works

it extended the initial 4 to 1 pippings longer, giving a better transition from the 4 to 1 flow, and a more even smooth flow than the stock setup.

it elminited the cat convertor and replaced it with a straight pipe. have u seen the inside of a cat convertor? its very very restrictive.

take a look at the DX, LX, HX stock exhaust setup. how the stock header is setup.

and compare it with the EX.

take a look at 5th gen (94-97) Accords. compare their DX, LX header with the Accord EX's

take a look at previous gen civics DX, LX, their exhaust system is also different.

I'd do this, but I dont want to say good bye to my mount, and I dont want to pump out more pollution.

DX, LX peeps should yield more result than EX peeps.

CapYoda is right!!! Have you seen inside the stock cat?? Replacing that alone should show a good gain. I'm just saying it's the best mod I have got yet. Take my word for it or not.
