No Name Sway/Strut Bars VS RSX, Progress, NameBrand Stuff...?
Will a no name brand item work just as well? Either way it should stiffen the suspension right? I saw this one sway bar on procarparts.com for like $30 and was wondering if it would work just as well... or is it one of those "you get what you pay for" type of things?
I understand about like a no name cheap brand exhaust vs. like a Tanabe, of course the Tanabe would most likely be best, but thats for engine performance. A sway/strut bar is for suspension, so just as long as anything that stiffens the suspension would be OKAY right? Does anybody get me or am I just in my own little world?

its depends on what you want. The Tanabe RM is a high flow exhuast and do on. As for the sway bar, that is a different story. Strut bars do not make a difference other than looks(who needs to shave off that much weight) and things like that. Sway bars should be all the same for the same thickness, but quality is what keeps the sway bar swaying for the next 2, 3, or 6 years.

I have the Front Upper Polished Strut Bar, Rear Upper Strut Bar and Rear Lower Tie Bar that Tornactive sells as a set. It works fine for me.

If you're really planning on pushing your car hard, get some good sway/strut bars. The no names can bend or buckle, and you obvously don't want that happening. The less joints/hinges in the bar, the better and stiffer it will be. If you just want them to have them, the no names should work fine. Oh, and despite DC being the most expensive, they don't work the best, so do some homework before you buy your bars.

Well the some products aren't THAT expensive, its just that I've seen cheaper and was wondering how they'd do. Either way, I think they'll do fine because it most likely will HAVE to be better than not having any bars at all... And for day to day driving, how many times are you really going to be taking a sharp turn, some more than others, but I think that just as long as it capable of working, it'll be cool.
CIVICdude: dang, the package is only $100 w/ free shipping for all 3 of those bars... I think I'll get some later, unless they're a Limited Time offer type of thing.

The difference between the 19 and 22 is not nearly is noticeable as the upgrade to 19, nor is it worth the money. I have had both and the 19 is all you need. Smart Civic owners?

The 22mm one is one you'll have to shed out quite more for as they are in high demand for RSX owners and smart Civic owners.[hr]
