Sneaky Pete (nitrous system)*opinions*

[hr]The Sneeky Pete was designed as a true "Cheater Kit." This kit will enable you to obtain that extra tenth of a second without being obvious. It will be necessary to jet the carburetors a little richer (over and above what is normal, since you will have to compensate for the nitrous from the Sneeky Pete) while being "sneeky" since no additional fuel source is utilized. The kit comes complete with a compact, easy to conceal 10oz. bottle, nitrous solenoid, nylon nitrous line, wiring, 9v battery holder and an assortment of jets. Carry it in a briefcase! [hr]

Any opinions about it ? a little nitrous shouldn't hurt the engine right ?
i had the bottle a while back, but i sold it on ebay. it is cool to have if you wanna race someone and you dont want them to see u have nos. like for me, all my buds know i squeeze all the time and my friend has a 92 civic hatch and he told me not to squeeze. i told him i didnt have the bottle. it wasnt in the trunk and i had my sneeky pete bottle under my seat..heh so i used it and smoked him really bad. its fun to have but i like having my 10 pound bottle more.
i was concidering that kit with a bigger bottle so i got more shots b4 i have to refill... but in a 1/4 mile it will tak of 1/10 of a second....so i dunno if its worth it... it shouldnt hurt you engine b/c of such little hp gain just make sure u got yer intake/header/exhaust installed....b/c if you dont it will blow b/c of too little air flow
Never ever run lean on nitrous. Did I say NEVER?
anyway, yes you could controller fuel delivery with a S-AFC, or adding larger injectors and controlling the injectors why not on juice. But why do that when you can just purchase a NX kit and have all the things you need without extra cost of having to buy something else? scared to run a 50 shot? they supply 35 shot jets as well.

I forgot what this thread was about? that with a dry nitrous system and no way to increase fuel, you'll burn up the motor? what does the bottles have to do with it other than size? you can get any kit with the size bottle you want

ur right but we're looking for that sneaky type of nos, not like obvious type of NOS. i'm pretty sure the sneaky pete wont burn nothing with such a small boost. i agree having exhaust, intake and header installed before using it.

If you are gonna squeeze you should squeeze!!!...don't give a little baby
pinch. Since that is what the sneaky pete is. that is about a 3 second spray wich will only take 1/10th off on a quarter mile. It is only used for drag and if you need a little pinch of power at the end of the 1/4 mile time to hit your dial in time.
NX epress makes the best kit for our cars. Besides you do not want to hit the nitrous at the wrong time and pop your engine. N2O works safest at wide open throttle.

[hr]u for real? but this so called "mini" nos is so tiny compare to the full nos kits. as long as we have the whole setup, intake, header, exhaust we should be right [hr]

intake, header and exhuast does not make nitrous any safer than a stock car. Understanding how to use the kit and all of its accesories is a start. Installing the kit correct, having the correct pressure, running enough octane, not too much ignition timing, using the correct plugs is just a start.

Unless you figure a way to add more fuel to the equation I strongly reccomend you not to use that kit... Nitrous requires fuel to make it work right.. If there isnt enough fuel then the motor goes lean. Then boom, catch parts in a bucket.. that product is intended to carburated cars where tuning that extra fuel i isnt a problem. At the very least a return fuel line is needed to increase fuel pressure. its NOT going to happen in your car, just get a regular kit.
