Ya, but you should trade it in cuz you only pay the 14.5% tax on the difference of the trade-in whereas if you sell it privately you have to pay tax on the full price of the new maxima.
How much is the new maxima? Let's do a comparo here.. say the Maxima is $30,000
If you trade in $30,000 - $19,000 = $11,000 x 1.145 = $12,595
Sell Private $30,000 x 1.145 = $34,350 - $23,000 = $11,350.
Ask them for a trade in value of $20,000 and you should break even with selling it privately for $23,000.
Also, Brand-new the Si-G MRSP is $21,350, so asking for $23,000 is a little high, even if you have factory addons
and aftermarket stuff.

ill only get like 19,000$......and I was think either a 2k2 rather then a 2k3, cause they are the same, but the 2k2 is like 5000$ less, or get the 2k/2k1 AE, for like less then 30,000$ and slapping on the supercharger and getting the HID's from the 2k2. Plus, the 2k is more tunable then the 2k2, but I like the 6speed (who ever makes it too 6th?) and the bigger rims. So, I might have to buy the 2k2 rims and HID.

i'd say just trade it in...i wonder if anyone will even pay $19k for that car...
i just bought a brand new SiG automatic for $215xxish...and a couple K more and i should be able to get the skirts and spoilers? i prefer a blue SiG with the oem skirts over a Veloz...hehe..
silver or black is not my color...

If the civic is leased why are you trying to sell it? You'd have to buy it out at a ridiculous price to sell it off. Why not just find someone to take over your lease first so you can get out. You could also find a company to do this for you but they will charge you an admin fee.
