Whats the best lowering product for my car?
I wanna lower my car a little bit. Probably about 1.5 inches. I read something in a Honda Tuning mag that there is something to do with our suspension that makes lowering not very simple. My question is, what would be the best product (and what is its price) to lower my car about 1.5", and what type of shop should I look for to do the job? Should I go will full shocks, or just springs? I don't know a whole lot about suspension really, so all help is appreciated.

If you got money to spend get Ground control coilovers and Koni Shocks. You can adjust the height to what you want whenever, all you need is a certain wrench which it comes with. This is the way you should go if you got the cash. The problem with springs is if you don't like the height that they drop the car, you can't do anything about it.

Honestly dude, just take a hacksaw and cut 2 full coils off of your stock springs......sick ride dude and you don't even have to replace your shocks!

So there are no decent options that cost more than a hacksaw and less than a grand (or more)? Haha, a kid at my school cut his springs... so ghetto. Yeah, i was asking coz my parents offered to buy me something for my car for my b-day, but I'm not gonna ask for something more than about $500. (which I probably still won't get.)

i have neuspeed sports and spc cambers. i pruchased the neuspeed sports locally, and got ripped off, 220 dollars for the springs. the spc cambers were 168 total, from tornactive.com
installation for the springs cost me 120 dollars, and installation for the camber cost me 60, and an alignment from a specialty shop(because nobody in the area can put me on their lift) cost me another 75 dollars

you might want to try out the h&r cup kit. it basicly drops your car 1.75 in the front and 1.5 in the rear plus it has shocks/struts designed to handle this drop. they run for around $950.

I have goldline springs with a full camber kit and i love it. I've heard nothing but good things about goldline. A lot of other people love their Neuspeed springs too. I'd say get either one of these.
Goldline + SPC Full Camber Kit...run you around $300. I've had mine for about 2months...IN THE BOX...of course ....not putting on until Spring...Winter Sucks !
but everytime you adjust your alignment and camber goes way out of wack and you spend more money on gettin that fixed by an alignment shop. therefore i chose the springs and camber kit!!!

my settings are: Front camber: -.7 FR toe: -.04 Rear camber: -1.4 RR toe: -.08
The rear is -1.4 b/c it has to tuck under the wheel well. Thinking about getting the SPC lower arm and bring the rear camber to -.9.
hey, where is fairview heights? I have used Eibach sportlines sitting in my room. Email me at ASWZero@hotmail.com if you want them. I can give them to you for $90, $110 shipped. I will also have Weapon-R circuit-pro coils for sale soon too, for the same price. You just have to wait until I get my Tein Flex coils.

Edit: I'll think about your springs. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do at this point.
Springs and a camber kit is a cheap way to lower your car. But , just remember, you'll be bouncing down the road on blown factory shocks/struts soon after. The ride won't be great with just springs and a camber kit. I suggest just to save up your money until you can afford to lower the car the correct way with aftermarket shocks/struts and springs at the same time. Good Luck.

they ride is a little rougher but not bouncier. and its been like 5 months since i dropped my car and my shocks are still fine. i've heard people riding on stock shocks for 3 years with eibach sportlines.

$99 for Goldlines, $150 for front and rear SPC camber kit, $0 for DIY install = $250 for a nice looking drop with a great ride. Still have to wait and get an alignment though. If you can change your own oil, chances are you can change your own springs. It is much easier if you have air tools though.
