adjusting gc's
adjusting gc's
hey i searched about this, but how exactly would i adjust my ground control's? i have the allen wrench that the shop gave me, but i have no instructions that would tell me which direction to turn the screw. my car has a drop comparable to a eibach prokit, i want more of a drop down right before the tires also i have a camber kit in my rear, would this affect adjusting my coilovers? i know this is probably a stupid question, but i dont want to accidently raise my car or somethin cuz i turned the screw the wrong way

this is what i think... take off the wheels(so yes this would include jacking up the car), loosen the nut with the allen key, turn it(if you turn it the wrong way and raise it, just turn it the other way duh), lock the nut again and put the wheel back on... i think thats how gc's work, i dunno never had them.
as for the camber question, did you get your car aligned? adjusting the ride height is always going to effect the camber, so you might have to get another alignment... should have gotten one after you were happy with the height..

ok first things first jack the car up, loosen the allen bolt and turn clockwise to lower or counter clockwise to raise. Do this in complete turns and use the seam as a point of reference for a complete turn...i have my seams facing the outside of the car so I can see them and tighten and loosen easily. If you need to take the pressure off the spring in the back to turn the gold ring then, just make sure the car is supported good in the air and stand on your wheel or drum if you had to take the wheel off. Thats it! tighten up the allen good and don't loose count on the number of turns or else you'll have a lopsided car.
